A seminar was held on 26.09.2009 between 11 am and 2 pm at Nayana Rangamandira, Bangalore. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Chandrashekaraiah was present and inaugurated the seminar. During Inaugural address, he said that the people should not keep quiet when there is injustice and an Deficiency of Service. All the customers have a right to get the dispute redressed throught the Distorict Consumer Forum, State Consumer Commission and National Consumer Commission. He said that during tenure as a president of the Karnataka State Consumer redressal Commission, he has entertained complaints against MNC Bank and exemplary penalties have been imposed to the Banks. Recent Judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Regarding the telephone disputes, he said that a need has arisen to protect the Consumer Protection Act.

Mr.K.Sathyanarayana, Popular known as "Satya", a Columinist of Kannada Prabha Daily spoke on the occassion as the Chief Guest, and called upon the Association Activists to fight against the MNC Banks not throught Courts but through Agitational Programmes. As the Mighty MNC Banks have got means and infrastructure to face legal battle upto Supreme Court, Whereas, Poor Consumer is not.

Mr. C.V.GIDDAPPA, General Secretary, CCHAI, Welcomed the Hon'ble Guests and the gathering. Durimg his welcome speech, he explained hurdles faces by the Association in solving problems of the members. The Harrassment and grievances are increasing day by day and if Association wants to file cases, they may have to file atleast 100 cases per day. The All India Executive committee met here in Bangalore and submitted a Memorandum to the Government of India, RBI and Indian Banks Association.
Prof. M.M.Kini, President Borrows Welfare Association has presided over the seminar. Mr. I. Arokiaswamy, Chennai, Mr. Krishnan Kutty, Coimbatore, Mr. B.V.S.P.Chowdary, Hyderabad, spoke on the occassion. Mr. B.N.Manjunath, President, CCHAI, was present.
